Aura Fire Safety inspects, tests and repairs fire protection systems in multi-unit residential buildings, restaurants, hotels and schools across the San Francisco Bay Area. We hold C-16 fire protection and C-10 electrical licenses, so our team works on both sprinkler piping and alarm panels.
Property Managers
We inspect, repair and monitor the systems in apartment and condominium buildings: fire sprinklers, fire alarms, fire pumps, kitchen hood suppression and emergency lighting. Title 19 fire sprinkler inspections fall at the quarterly, annual and 5-year marks, and we repair what they find. We also design and install fire alarm systems.
HOA Boards
For HOA boards, we run the annual inspection of the common-area fire alarm system under NFPA 72, which the board typically schedules and keeps records for. We also test fire sprinklers and emergency lighting and repair what an inspection finds. The new HOA leader of a SOMA condominium building called us "very professional to work with" on Yelp.
Restaurants & Commercial Kitchens
We inspect kitchen hood fire suppression systems every six months, the interval California sets for commercial kitchens. When the next visit is due, we call you and book it around your cooking schedule. We also design, install and repair these systems and test emergency lighting annually.
High Rise Hotels
We run a hotel's annual fire sprinkler and fire alarm certifications, monitor the alarm, and service kitchen hood systems and fire pumps. A 60-room Fisherman's Wharf hotel needed both certifications for its insurer. Within 24 hours we tested the systems, corrected minor discrepancies and issued test reports.
Schools
We test and certify a school's fire sprinklers, fire alarms and emergency lighting and service cafeteria kitchen hood systems. At a Mission district school, we installed the hood system over Christmas break, while students and staff were away, and certified the other three systems before it reopened. We still run its quarterly and annual certifications.
